Hey, Joey here.

At some point in the last few months, Claude went from "that other AI" to the one a lot of people actually prefer using day-to-day.

And I'm one of them now.

And I want to give you my honest take on why.

Let’s get into it👇

WEEKLY AI TOOL REVIEW
Why I Switched From ChatGPT to Claude

Let me be clear about one thing upfront: this has nothing to do with the whole US government drama.

That story was entertaining in a "what is even happening" kind of way, but it didn't move the needle for me.

My reasons are far less dramatic.

Claude is just better at tech stuff. When you ask it a technical question, you get a short, direct answer with just what you need and not 5 steps forward.

ChatGPT gives you a motivational speech followed by seventeen paragraphs of fluff that eventually arrive at the point.

To steal the image given my OpenClaw founder:

» ChatGPT is the overly “enthusiastic American”.

» Claude is a more direct “pragmatic German”.

Also Claude is just…better? I was working on something code-related I couldn’t get resolved with ChatGPT for 2 weeks, then switched to Claude and solved it in 1h.

It's also solid for content writing, which helps when that's a big chunk of what you're doing day-to-day.

The thing that really won me over though is something I didn't expect: Claude asks follow-up questions before it answers.

It'll pop up these little Q&A boxes to collect the context it needs rather than just winging it with whatever you gave it.

This has been a REAL frustration of mine with LLMs forever: they answer immediately, confidently, and sometimes completely wrong, because they'd rather guess than pause for two seconds.

Claude waiting to ask feels almost shockingly reasonable by comparison.

I also had this theory that sticking to one AI was the smart play because you were building something over time, that the memory and accumulated context was the whole value proposition.

But honestly, it turns out migrating everything over was genuinely not that big a deal, and Claude quickly had a good understanding of my business and everything relevant.

I'll still use ChatGPT for quick stuff, the kind of queries that used to go straight to Google.

Claude's usage limits make it a bit impractical for that volume…

But for anything serious: real technical problems, actual writing work, things where I need it to not embarrass me, Claude's my default now.

THAT‘S A WRAP
